Examples of Our Standard CSA Share

 


Interested in joining Everblossom Farm, but unsure what your CSA Box will actually look like? How about the value of exactly what will be placed in the box? A great place to find this information is in our FAQ's, but I will try to give you general examples of what will be receiving in your CSA box at different times of the year here!

Spring:

Small Share Example ($23.50 value - You pay only $20)

  • Pint of Sugar Snap Peas ($4.00 value)
  • 1 head of Lettuce ($2.50 value)
  • Quart of Strawberries ($8.00 value)
  • 1 head of Napa Cabbage ($2.50 value)
  • Scallions ($2.00 value)
  • 1 bunch Radishes ($2.00 value)
  • 1/4lb Spinach ($2.50)

Large Share Example ($36.00 value - You pay only $32.50)

  • 2 Pints of Sugar Snap Peas ($8.00 value)
  • 2 heads of Lettuce ($5.00 value)
  • Quart of Strawberries ($8.00 value)
  • 2 bunches of Kale ($6.00 value)
  • 1 head of Napa Cabbage ($2.50 value)
  • 1 bunch of Rosemary ($2.00 value)

Other produce that is available during Spring that was not used in this example: Arugula, Asian Greens, Beets, Broccoli, Cabbage, Carrots, Collards, Escarole, Kohlrabi, Radishes, Salad Mix, Swiss Chard, Hakurei Turnips, and more.

Summer:

  • 2 pounds of Heirloom Tomatoes ($10.00 value)
  • 1 head of Lettuce ($2.50 value)
  • 1 bunch of Carrots ($3.00 value)
  • 2 Cucumbers ($2.00 value)
  • 2 Bell Peppers ($3.00 value)
  • 1 medium Onion ($1.50 value)
  • 1 bunch Basil ($2.50 value)

Large Share Example ($37.00 value - You pay only $32.50)

  • 2 pounds of Heirloom Tomatoes ($10.00 value)
  • 2 heads of Lettuce ($5.00 value)
  • 1 bunch of Carrots ($3.00 value)
  • 4 Cucumbers ($4.00 value)
  • 4 Bell Peppers ($6.00 value)

Fall:

Winter:

Winter Standard shares are all one size - Medium! And weekly share values vary based on the timing of deliveries. We generally shoot for every other week from November through March, but will work around holidays. Usually we give bigger shares just before a holiday so you can use your fresh goods to cook up delicious holiday favorites. Boxes range from having $55 (you pay $50) to $29 (you pay $25) worth of produce. Our Winter CSA also offers a greens only share that will include greens of all types, herbs, cayennes, and some small roots like radishes, etc. Here's a list of some goods with their associated prices:

  • 2 stalks of Brussel Sprouts ($6.00 value)
  • 2 bunches of Kale ($7-8 value)
  • 2 bunches of Swiss Chard ($7.00 value)
  • 1 bunch of Pea shoots ($2.50 value)
  • 2 heads of Lettuce ($5.00 value)
  • 1 bunch of Sage ($2.50 value)
  • 1 Qt Potatoes ($5.00 value)
  • 1lb Heirloom Black Beans ($9.00 value)
  • 1 large bulb Garlic ($3.00 value)
  • 8-10lb Winter Squash ($14-17.50 value)
